Township. A girl negotiates a pool of water amongst tin shack housing in Khayelitsha Township, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. Khayelitsha is a partially informal township located on the Cape Flats of Cape Town. It is situated on a floodplain of the Kuils River and residents suffer from the effects of flooding every winter. It is reputed to be the largest and fastest growing township in South Africa.
