In March, 1906, the49 cottages of class Bwere completed, at acost of ;!^i49 each forbuilding, or a total ofp^7,3o6, being at therate of 5d. per cube footon 6,669 cubic and contingencieswere ;^i,28o inclusive,roads and sewers;2^i,4i4, making a totalcost of about ;^io, were sanctionedfor 80 years in respectof the land, and 56 yearsin respect of buildingand street works. Therent of the cottages is 5/-per week, which barelypays in respect of therehousing scheme, asthe land for the road ischarged wholly upon the42 houses built underthe scheme. In the caseof the seven housesbuilt under Part III theaccounts balance. Thecottages have a frontageof 13 feet, and a totaldepth of site averagingabout 65 feet.
