The sufi shrine of Bari Imam in the outskirts of Islamabad, capital of Pakistan was target of a suicide attack in 2005. The shrine is visited by thousands of people every month. This photo series was done on a recent visit to the shrine to document how the place has transformed after the attack. Sufi and shia shrines in Pakistan have been targets of terrorism for a long time in Pakistan. Pakistan claims that its military operations in tribal areas have significantly weakened the terrorists who had safe havens on the pakistan afghanistan border.
