Kidder—The first ten days were very cold; the remainder oithe month wTiS continuous mild weather. Brunswick-Mild temperatures prevailed. I picked bloomingsweet violets, entirely unprotected, on January 30. Fayette—Warmest January observed on local records, alsoverv dry. Exceptionally fine weather most of the month. Gorin—The first week was cold; but the remamder of themonth was mild; no precipitation. , ,co Kirksville—A remarkably fine month; averaged about lbwarmer than January, 1918; last 22 days temperature rangedfrom 38° to 59.
