On bark of trees, and on rocks. The plant is3 inches, and sometimes more, in length, andmatted into patches sometimes a foot in is never so black and shining as Frullaniatamarisci. The fertile stems are longer, morebranched, and more fastigiate ; whilst those bear-ing perigonia are far narrower, and with shorterbranches.
