It is need- less to say that the opening stock of flowers was rich in quality and rare in variety, and in its arrangement the touch of the manager of the store, Mr. Deal, formerly of Campbell's, Montreal, was reflected. The national publicity committee went into session early on Monday morn- ing, October 9, at the administration office of the S. A. F. Henry Penn, chair- man, of Boston; George Asmus, of Chi- cago; C. C. Pollworth, of Milwaukee; Major P. F. O'Keefe, of Boston, and S. S. Pcnnock, president of the S. A. F., were present. H. D. Brookins, of Buf- falo, was present. The latter was rep- resenting the Allied Florists' Associa- tion of Buffalo. A proposed conference with representatives of the different allied associations was postponed, to take place in Baltimore, at the F. T. D. meeting. Mrs. C. C.
