Buland Darwaza, Fatehpur Sikri, Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. Fatehpur Sikri was a city built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the 16th century. It was the empire's capital from 1571 until 1585. The Buland Darwaza (Gate of Magnificence) is a monumental gateway to the Jama Masjid, the city's mosque. Akbar built it in 1602 to commemorate his conquest of Gujarat.
