The steamer Ryndam, from Eotterdani, docked at New York the morning of Mon- day, August 1, containing advance con signments of Dutch bulbs. There were only a few sniall sized consignments on board. The Seabriglit Bulb Farm, at Santa Cruz, Cal., has about two acres of gladioli in full bloom, which make a gorgeous spectacle just now. The digging of Paper "Whites and and the plant- ing of freesias arc in full swing. Bulletin No. 481 of the New York Agricultural Experiment Station reports the results of analyses of insecticides and fungicides collected by the commis- sioner of agriculture during 1920.
