STANSTED AIRPORT PROPOSED EXPANSION 10 MONTHS AFTER THE BRITISH LABOUR GOVERNMENT LAUNCHED ITS CONSULTATION INTO AIR TRANSPORT IN THE UK UNITED KINGDOM THE BAA BRITISH AIRPORT AUTHORITY HAS PUBLISHED ITS RESPONSE THE BAA IS CALLING FOR AN EXTRA TWO RUNWAYS TO BE CONSTRUCTED OFF THE EXISTING AIRPORT SITE THE PROPOSED NEW RUNWAYS AND ROAD AND RAIL LINKS WILL BE BUILT ON RURAL FARM LAND IN NORTH WEST ESSEX DESTROYING SEVERAL VILLAGES AND HAMLETS AS WELL AS AFFECTING THE LIVES OF TENS OF THOUSANDS OF RESIDENTS IN ESSEX HERTFORDSHIRE AND PARTS OF SUFFOLK THE PHOTOGRAPHS SHOW THE POSTER CAMPAIGN PUT UP IN AFFECTED VILLAGES AND BEYOND BY THE STOP STANSTED EXPANSION CAMPAIGN GROUP 15 MAY 2003
