Tuberculosis is especially apt to attack the ankle bones inyoung persons. It is recognized by the usual evidences of jointtuberculosis (see below, page 492). 6. Epithelioma of the ankle has the characteristics of epitheli-oma elsewhere. 462 PHYSICAL DIAGNOSIS. 7. Erythromelalgia, or red neuralgia of the extremities, is com-monest in the feet. The toes (or fingers) are red, hot, tender, andpainful in (Raynauds disease the digits are cold and painless oranaesthetic).
