Tuberculosis is especially apt to attack the ankle bones inyoung persons. It is recognized by the usual evidences of jointtuberculosis (see below, page 492). 6. The toes (or fingers) are red, hot, tender, andpainful in (Raynauds disease the digits are cold and painless oranaesthetic).
