Spinal collapse treatment. Coloured computed tomography (CT) scan of a needle entering a 48 year old's vertebra during vertebroplasty, a treatment for collapsed vertebrae. The needle will inject acrylic bone cement into the vertebral body to reinforce the bone and prevent any further damage. The spinal collapse was caused by secondary bone cancer. The primary cancer is of the breast.
