With the air full of eggs and potatoes the Type 42 Destroyer HMS Southampton (D90) is relieved by HMS York (D98) commanded by Captain Brigstocke, Captain 3rd Destroyer Squadron, later Admiral Sir John Richard Brigstocke KCB (born 30 July 1945) who went on to be Second Sea Lord. on the Armilla Patrol in the Persian Gulf 1986 during the so called 'Tanker War'
