The photograph shows the Young Identification Camera invented by 2nd Lieutenant David R. Young in June 4, 1918, during World War I. This camera was specifically designed for making record photographs of men in the service. It had the capacity to take 1730 photographs without reloading and could capture 5 to 10 photographs per minute. The cost of each picture was 1/2 cent per material. The image was censored and released on June 18, 1918.
