Wooden sea groyne at low tide on Shanklin Beach, Shanklin, Isle of Wight, England, UK.

An old wooden sea groyne structure. It is somewhat dilapidated and the wooden posts are covered in a large amount of seaweed and sea moss. There are planks missing from sections of the structure which is designed to prevent coastal erosion and longshore drift.
