Christian Altemus, a signals analyst with 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, assembles a radio to conduct spectrum survey aboard amphibious transport dock ship USS Portland (LPD 27), April 17. The Marines and Sailors of the 11th MEU are conducting routine operations with the Essex Amphibious Ready Group. Portland is underway as part of the Essex ARG in Third Fleet.
