Kings Lynn is a seaport and market town on the West Norfolk coast. The River Great Ouse passes through the port of Kings Lynn entering the Wash and discharging into the North Sea. This image was taken along the South Quay on the banks of the river. Known until 1537 as Bishop's Lynn and locally as Lynn it was ranked as England's most important port in the 14th century. Kings Lynn is 98 miles north of London.
