Stacks of harvested Elephant Grass (Miscanthus) at a field edge with the next grass crop just visible behind, Northamptonshire, England

A large stack of harvested Elephant Grass (Miscanthus) with a second stack visible beyond catching the warm sun of a September afternoon near Holdenby in Northamptonshire. The stack is over 20 feet high and is standing beside the new crop; the bales were harvested in March and the new crop has grown to around 6ft some six months later. The crop is grown as a bio-fuel for burning in power stations.
