Inthe absence of Europeanspecimens, I have onlymeans of comparison withfigures, and am unable topoint out specific general form of shell,and proportions of volu-tions, this fossil does notgreatly differ from G. pa-tersoni j but the presenceof a large umbilicus, andmore complicated septa inthat one, are distinguishingfeatures. The accompanying dia-gram will suffice for com-parison with the precedingspecies. GONIATITKS ROTATORIUS.
