A German cavalry sabre, 18th century, Slightly curved blade à  la Montmorency, both sides with remnants of gilding and etched depicitons of a hussar, a mounted Turk, the moon and a Turk's head beside trophies, the blade spine marked "Solingen" and stamped "EGG". Non-corresponding iron knuckle-bow hilt with long langet, restored leathering, the hilt presumably secured by adhesive. Iron fittings on the non-corresponding, old leather scabbard.
