He became anauthority on terminal and wharf facilities early in his busi-ness career, and was for many years prominent in the Bos-ton Chamber of Commerce. He is the senior vice-presidentof the Charlestown 5-Cent Savings Bank. Mr. W. S. Hays has joined the staff of the McGraw Pub-lishing Company, Inc., to undertake special sales promotionwork for the Electrical World and Electric RailwayJournal. Mr. Hays comes from the commercial depart-ment of the Union Gas & Electric Company, Cincinnati,with which he has been connected since the completion ofthe merger of the New Midland Power & Traction Com-pany, Cambridge, Ohio, with the Ohio Service Company,where he was superintendent and local manager.
