Gothic vault of the ceiling - view from below
The former Benedictine monastery was founded by Vladislav I in 1115. At the beginning of the 14th century it belonged to the largest Benedictine communities. A dominant feature of the grounds is the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, rebuilt by Jan Blažej Santini Aichel in the Czech Baroque Gothic style.
