Santa Fe, Museum of Contemporary Native Arts, selections from the permanent collection depicting armed conflict over 500 years.

This image shows the entrance to the Museum of Contemporary Native Arts in Santa Fe decorated for the special exhibit that ran through most of 2015. The armed conflicts referenced in the artworks in the exhibit span 500 years, from the Spanish/Pueblo conquest, to World War II, Vietnam, Wounded Knee, the Mohawk/Oka Crisis, and present-day conflicts. This selection of works from the permanent collection examines the nuanced depictions of war and civil unrest in contemporary Native art.
