Thewholly ruined castle of Toonagh is situate in Clooney. Itbelonged in 1580 to a MacNamara. Castletown castle isalso in the parish. In the same year it was the property ofBryan OBrien, while the castle of Corbally belonged toShane son of Mahone MacNamara, and that of Clooney toDonogh OGrady. In this parish is the townland of Bally-hickey, so called from the OTIickeys, hereditary physiciansof the OBriens. The name in Irish is Oh Icidhe, which ?ii. Wfe
