I. Tlie market. Business has been on the jump the last week, numerous weddings and a number of large funerals keeping the florists on the move. Boses are in good quantity and quality, although whites have been scarce. Carnations are com- ing along in greatly improved quality and the early cuts are in large quantity. Violets are bidders for favor and find ready sales for the few in market. The last of the outdoor asters are now being used for "fillers" in design work, but are of rather indifferent quality. Dahlias arrive in large quantities and are useful in funeral work, but the frosts have begun to make their pres- ence felt and the dahlia is on its last run for this season.
