Airships are being built in England to-day800 feet in length and the 1000-foot shipsseem assured. Such craft have a liftingforce of upwards of 100 tons, and of this58 per cent, is available for merchandise orpassengers. ^Ehere is no question in theminds of aviators to-day that the dirigibleballoon can cross the Atlantic fifty hourswith little danger of serious accident.
