SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (September, 22 2018) Cecilia Sequeira, public affairs specialist, and Ashley McLendon, archivist, both with the Naval History and Heritage Command, interact with a Navy veteran at the Lyman and Merrie Wood Museum of Springfield History during Springfield Navy Week. Navy Weeks are designed to connect the public with Navy Sailors, programs and equipment throughout the country. Every year, America's Navy comes home to approximately 15 cities across the country to show Americans why having a strong Navy is critical to the American way of life.
