If, in addition to the circumscribed changein the skull, there are recognizable signs of general erosion, itis probable that the tumor is of considerable size. Uniformthinning or bulging of the skull wall speaks for the presenceof a benign tumor (cyst, endothelioma, fibroma) while osteoporo-sis of the bone speaks for infiltration through a malignantprocess, (sarcoma, tubercle, etc.).
