John Miller, E Company, Forward Support Company, 14th Brigade Engineer Battalion at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., files the edge of his Mc Leod, August 16, 2018, in Mendocino National Forest, Calif. Miller, who is part of a combined fire crew supervised by two professional wildland firefighter crew bosses, traveled south from JBLM with more than 200 other active-duty Soldiers to support National Interagency Fire Center wildland fire fighting efforts.
