A decorated morion-cabasset, Italy, circa 1590. The heavy single-piece skull with typical stalk in the apex. Plume socked made of brass with punched decoration. Lining rivets with decorated brass washers. Brim with turned under and roped edges. The entire surface covered with finely etched decoration of trophies and vines. Small, old repair at the back of the skull.
