NEW YORK (Nov. 12, 2016) Capt. James R. Midkiff, commanding officer, amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) leads Royal Navy officials on a tour of the ship. Iwo Jima is participating in Veterans Week New York City 2016 to honor the service of all our nation’s veterans. The ship recently returned from the humanitarian assistance mission to Haiti in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew.
