A pecul-iar thing I dis-covered at thislake that I neverknew beforewas that thetrout would notbite in the daytime. We builta large fire on the rocks close to the water in the even-ing and caught very fine trout, averagingtwo pounds, but the mosquitoes werefearful so we did not stay long but wentback to Thessalon for a weeks rest. It was here that I got the first inklingof deer and from that time on I kept myears open so as to know where to squatwhen that most interesting season open-ed. It was now getting on towardsSeptember and as I wanted to again visit. Photo Marshall.
