A new Dunciad done with a view of ye fluctuating ideas of taste, without preface or introduction Abstract: Engraving shows the interior of a room, where Hogarth, , leans against a table while holding an artist's palette and a Pantin, or child's scaramouch. Around Hogarth are arrayed, no. 2, his Genius, no. 3, an Admirer, no. 4 the Fool of Arts, no. 5 a House of Cards, and no. 6 the Imposter knock'd down by a French burlelque. To the side, a satyr holds a sheet upon which there is writing. The title refers to Alexander Pope's satiric epic poem, The Dunciad.
