King Henry VIII and Anne Boley married in a secret ceremony on 14 November 1532 and she soon became pregnant. To legalise the first wedding considered to be unlawful at the time, Anne returned to London in 1933 under guard for a second wedding service, also private in accordance with The Royal Book, in London on 25 January 1533. Five days later, on 28 May 1533, Archbishop , Thomas Cranmer declared the marriage of Henry and Anne good and valid.
