RFA Argus Returns to Falmouth, post a deployment to Sierra Leone to support the Ebola Aid Emergency


Falmouth, Cornwall, UK. 7th April, 2015. RFA Argus today returned to Falmouth after a deployment where she provided aviation and amphibious support and medical capability to the Department for International Development-led effort against the spread of Ebola. Her three Royal Navy Merlin Helicopters of 820 Squadron Rnas Culdrose, detachment of Royal Marines from 539 Assault Squadron Royal Marines and 42 Commando helped deliver equipment, supplies and food package to remote areas of Sierra Leone for over six months. © Bob Sharples/Alamy Live News
