New Dorp Railroad Station, built in 1889, now in Historic Richmondtown, Staten Island, New York
The New Dorp Railroad Station was constructed in 1889. Its design is attributed to Henry Knapp. The station originally stood at Rose Avenue and New Dorp Plaza. It was moved to Historic Richmondtown in 1965 when the tracks were depressed and a new station built. An overhanging eaves originally provided shade along the platform. It is an official New York City landmark.
