Fruits larger than regular Stone, semi-globular, smooth, deep scarlet-red; ripens well to stem; quite free from skin cracks. Interior color deep red, of fine flavor. Bonny Best Standard second early variety, valuable for market gardeners, ship- pers, and canners. Vine medium, not very hardy. Fruits medium sized, apple-shaped, smooth, solid, bright scarlet in color, of excellent quality. Chalk's Early Jewel A second early sort for home gardeners and truckers, also good for canning in the North. Plant medium, with open growth; prolific. Fruits medium large, smooth, scarlet, flattened globe-shaped. CLARK'S SPECIAL "B" Developed by ourselves, and introduced in 1922, as a main crop can- ning variety. Plant vigorous, somewhat open, prolific. Fruits large, deep-flat, bright red, quite free from cracks, solid; interior color deep red; small seed cells. Resembles Indiana Greater Baltimore, but deeper, and somewhat smoother. Florida Special A second early variety, popular in Florida. Vine open in growth, and of medium height. Fruits medium sized, deep, smooth, scarlet-red; ship well. Resembles Bonny Best. Early Baltimore Developed by Dr. Walter A. Hudson and introduced by the Uni- versity of Illinois in 1935.
