The double diamond wave consists of manner, keeping the points directly in line with thoseof the small diamond wave and meeting it at everyother point. This gives one-half of a double dia-mond pattern. The second half of the double dia-mond is worked the same as the first half, ex-cept that it is reversed. It is best to work the smalldiamond first, leaving spaces above and below forthe large diamond, or upper and lower lines the illustration carefully. Work from the thir-teenth line to the twelfth, using three stitches, downto the thirteenth, and so on across. For the outer rowof wave commence on the twelfth line and work to thesecond line above (tenth) and down again in same the ordinary in appearance. It looks attractive, and isdesirable where a small or fine honeycomb pattern cani)e used. Such a pattern furnishes the often-neededfinish for a piece of work in honeycomb stitch.
