A C-17 Globemaster III on the flight line as fire retardant foam is released.

September 24, 2013 - A Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft on the flight line as fire retardant foam is unintentionally released in an aircraft hangar, temporarily covering a small portion of the flight line at Travis Air Force Base, California. The non-hazardous foam is similar to dish soap and eventually dissolved into liquid, which was helped by high winds. The 60th Air Mobility Wing firefighters helped control the dispersion by using powerful fans and covering drains.
