Carrickfergus Castle
Carrickfergus Castle built by John de Courcy in 1177. This Norman castle, in the town of Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim, remains one of the best preserved Medieval structures in Ireland, and famous as the place where King William III first set foot in Ireland on 14th June 1690.
