Log Hollow Falls is a beautifully cascading 25 ft. high waterfall in the Pisgah National Forest in Transylvania County. While being relatively easy to get to, they are not frequently visited relative to other waterfalls in the area. They are about 1/2 mile down FS5043 which is an old logging road. The hike in is very easy, and you will generally see plentiful wildflowers unless you are visiting in the colder months. The falls themselves have smoothed down the bedrock at the bottom of the falls, in which thick veins of quartz are visible. If you observe closely in the stream, you will see
