Such dilatation has clinicallysimulated a pericardial effusion to such an extent that aspirationwas performed and blood withdrawn from the left ventricle.^Among the 1,300 Pennsylvania Hospital autopsies there were 5cases of cardiac aneurism; at the Philadelphia Hospital, 3 among8,640.
