A blue plaque on the house in Shortlands, Kent, that was occupied by the children's writer Enid Blyton in the 1920s.

Enid Blyton (11 August 1897 – 28 November 1968) was a prolific author of children's books including the Noddy stories and the Secret Seven and the Famous Five series. She wrote about 800 books and sold over 600 million copies worldwide. She was born in East Dulwich and for a while taught at Bickley Park School. She lived in Shortlands during the 1920s, in a house she named 'Elfin Cottage'. Blue plaques are erected to recognise those citizens who have contributed to the world around them.
