A Common Pill Woodlouse (Armadillidium vulgare) on a fern frond on Ascension Island in the South Atlantic


This large woodlouse is now widespread in the wetter parts of Ascension Island. It is seen here on a fern frond near to the summit of Green Mountain on Ascension Island in the South Atlantic. When this species was introduced ti Ascension Island is unknown.
