An old wash panis nailed on the top of the pumpstock with a hole in bottom, thruwhich the slop is poured into thetrough. Seventy-two PART II A Hog House Trough. This hog house trough is for slopand dry feed, and I find it a feedingdevice that is very convenient, as it isalways ready for use. A, as will be seen by the sketch,is a 1x12 oak board. B is a 1x13oak board set in at an angle extend-ing down between the posts from thebottom of board A to within twoinches of the top and an inch or twobelow the aisle board D. The boardB directs the slop or dry feed intothe trough. C is a 2x6 oak plank with hole inbottom to set on iron pin in cementbase about four inches wide. Thisplank extends upward to posts can be set as close to- gether as desired; mine are about8 feet apart. I also have shift parti-tions, and use these troughs at far-rowing time. The partitions can beremoved and the entire floor can beused for feeding hogs. , D is a 1x12 oak board set withbottom edge a little over back edgeof trough. This guides the slop andfeed into the trough in front of thepigs nose. E is a cement trough nine incheson the aisle side, 13 inches wide
