Ancient Egyptian statue of the god Ptah, granodiorite, New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, (1390-1353 BC)Karnak. Egyptian Museum, Turin. The statue of the god Ptah is in the likeness of the reigning king Amenhotep III with a youthful almost feminine face, full cheeks, large smiling mouth and fleshy lips. The large almond shaped eyes are characteristic of the period as is the outline of the lips, Drovetti collection. Cat 86
