Princes Charles, William and Harry are seen on screen laughing at a comedian's joke. Celebrations took place across the United Kingdom with the centrepiece a parade and fireworks at Buckingham Palace, the Queen's London residency. Queen Elizabeth ascended to the British throne in 1952 upon the death of her father, King George VI.
