The croc shows off its impressive catch CHOBE ROIVER, BOTSWANA INCREDIBLE IMAGES show a crocodile capturing a barbel fish and then thrashing it about to break it down for dinner.  Images show the crocodile carrying the whole barbel fish through the river before thrashing it around to break it down into small chunks to ingest.  These images were captured by South African business manager Neal Cooper (56) on the Chobe River in Botswana with his Nikon D4 and a Nikon 600mm F4 lens. Neal has led many safaris through the Chobe River to view the crocodiles but even after all this time he is amazed by the stealth of this predator.  ?I was leading a photosafari on the Chobe River in Botswana when we saw a crocodile slowly moving through the water with something in its jaws,? said Neal.  ?Crocodiles need to break the prey up before swallowing so they thrash their heads about and smash the prey item on the surface of the water.  ?When you see a situation unfold and you are able to position your clients in the best position for them to be able to capture images like this is very rewarding. ?It is very rewarding to be able to add images like these into one?s portfolio. ?When people see these shots they are amazed at the stealth of the crocodiles and the brief violence that erupts when they feed.
