Sgt. Morper from the Signal Corps took this photograph numbered 111-SC-21618 during World War One. The image captures two soldiers, Cpls. Vessy and Paul L. Black from the fourth section, Co C (outpost) of the 305th En., 320th Rgt. Inf., 80th Div., in Saulty, France. The soldiers appear excited upon discovering "Cootes." The photograph was taken on August 10, 1918, during a "General Inspection" and was released by the Censor.
