Lewis Waller (1860-1915), actor and theatre manager, in Henry V, 1908-1909. From Penrose's Pictorial Annual 1908-1909, An Illustrated Review of the Graphic Arts, Volume 14, edited by William Gamble and published by AW Penrose (London, 1908-1909). Waller first appeared on the London stage in 1883, at Tooles, and for some years added to his reputation as a capable actor in London and the provinces. His fine voice and vigorous acting earned him critical acclaim in a number of Shakespearean roles, such as the title character in Henry V, Brutus in Julius Caesar, and Faulkenbridge in King John.
