Muslim devotees offer congregational prayers outside Hazratbal Shrine on the occasion of Shab-e-Miraj in Srinagar. Muslims celebrate Shab-e-Miraj on the 27th night of Rajab (seventh month of the Islamic Calendar). Shab-e-Miraj is celebrated to commemorate the journey of Islamic Prophet Muhammad to the highest stages of Heaven. Muslims observe this event by praying, congregating, reciting the Quran, and Supplicating.
